I forgot to report a 2019 W-2 form, can I add it to my 2020 tax return?

No, unfortunately every year is independent. You will need an amendment to be able to include any previous forms.

I had health marketplace insurance, but I don’t have my 1095 - A form, what do I do?

Filling form 1095 - A is necessary, because they may reject your tax submission if this is not complete. Please call (1-800-318-2596) and request it to be mailed to you.

When is the first day to file your taxes? Last day?

The first day and last day to file your taxes varies. If you would like to stay up to date, check out irs.gov .

2020 tax returns will be processed by IRS starting Feb. 12th.

My child is in college, can I still claim them and the tuition paid as well?

Yes, you can claim a dependent student from ages 17-23 and the tuition paid in form 1098 - T.

What is standard deduction?

For a single person it is $12,400, and for a married person it is $18,400.

I am self-employed, what can I deduct?
